Ozzano

Its origins date back to the Roman Empire, when the town was called Claterna. Nowadays, it is possible to visit the archaeological area (one of the most interesting areas in the region) and the Museum.

Today, Ozzano dell'Emilia, just 10 km from Bologna, is a modern town with over 13,000 inhabitants, which offers efficient services, plenty of greenery, a lively cultural life, and is home to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bologna, as well as a number of internationally renowned research institutes.

Most of its hills are protected and are part of the Regional Park for Biodiversity of Eastern Emilia.
